Alexander Kanevskiy: "Using advanced hardware platform features in Kubernetes"
Using advanced hardware platform features in Kubernetes
In the classic cloud world, application should not be aware about internals of the hardware where it runs. However, modern applications can utilize different hardware features to offload some of the application parts to different accelerators (GPU, FPGA) or just benefit from using memory allocation policies or modern CPU instruction sets to achieve better performance on the same hardware. In this presentation we are going to cover features and additional projects that Intel contributes to CNCF and Kubernetes communities in the areas of feature discovery, CPU and memory resource management, HW accelerators.
