Johan Hedberg:"Zephyr OS Overview"

Description
Zephyr OS Overview

The Zephyr™ Project, is a Linux Foundation hosted Collaboration Project, an open source collaborative effort uniting leaders from across the industry to build a best-in-breed small, scalable, real-time operating system (RTOS) optimized for resource constrained devices, across multiple architectures. The Zephyr Project’s goal is to establish a neutral project where silicon vendors, OEMs, ODMs, ISVs, and OSVs can contribute technology to reduce the cost and accelerate time to market for developing the billions of devices that will make up the majority of the Internet of Things.
This presentation will give an overview of the project and its history, as well as go into details of some of the unique features it provides, such as a rich connectivity stack, including e.g. a modern Bluetooth Controller implementation.

Johan Hedberg
Finland. Espoo
Senior Software Engineer, Bluetooth

I've been hacking on Linux for many years, both on my free time and professionally. I spent many years working on the Maemo and MeeGo projects at Nokia, and for the past five years my employer has been the Open Source Technology Center at Intel. I'm a maintainer for the Linux kernel Bluetooth subsystem and the BlueZ project, as well as the architect & lead developer for Bluetooth on Zephyr. I've presented at various Linux Foundation conferences in the past (Maemo/MeeGo, Tizen, ELC, etc).
